Damon Adult Braces Treatment in Clapham

The primary benefit of self-litigating adult braces is that treatment is completed much quicker. While the elastic ligatures used in traditional braces cause friction as they move your teeth, this is not the case with Damon braces. This means your teeth can slide into the desired position easily and quickly. Damon Braces have been shown to achieve the same results as traditional braces up to 4 months quicker!

“I couldn’t be happier with the treatment or the results. The transformation was even better than I’d hoped and has resulted in a lot of compliments!”

Completely Aesthetic Bracket with Unparalleled Design(Damon Clear)

Another great benefit of Damon Braces here in Clapham, London, is their discretion. Damon Clear brackets have no visible metal parts and come without the elastic ties that are prone to discolour throughout your treatment. If you opt for Damon Clear, others may not even be aware you’re wearing a brace!

Damon Braces vs Traditional Braces

The Damon System utilizes a patented slide mechanism to connect archwires to the bracket while allowing the wire to move freely. The Damon System reduces friction and improves oral hygiene by eliminating elastic ties.

Traditional braces use elastic ties to hold archwires in place. Unfortunately, elastic ties create friction which can slow treatment down. Elastics ties have also been shown to collect harmful bacteria.

Why Choose Damon Braces

Crescent Lodge Dental Practice Clapham

“I’ve been a patient of this clinic for many years and am 100% satisfied with both my dentist (Dino) and, especially really, my hygienist, Maria. Both are professional and competent, and I have complete confidence in them. Maria in particular has transformed my previously sloppy dental behaviour, which was previously pretty much restricted to manual brushing and occasional languid flossing. I now have the recommended electric brush, the right kind of mouthwash and the right size interdentals. She is a first class hygienist and a very nice person: I cannot recommend her (or the practice generally) sufficiently highly.”

Interest free finance

Many of our patients from Clapham Common, Balham, Clapham, London, South Side and across SW4 welcome the fact that they can budget for their orthodontic treatment by paying in monthly instalments with 0% interest.

Example: Starting from as little as £145 per month for a comprehensive Damon case.

Frequently Asked Questions

Damon Braces are fixed braces that consist of small, discreet brackets and fine wires. The thinness of their materials makes them much less noticeable than traditional ‘train-track’ braces.

This will vary between individuals, and therefore the exact treatment duration can be difficult to estimate. However, the average treatment duration is around 12-18 months.

As with braces of all kinds, you may experience some slight discomfort at the beginning of treatment as your braces begin to push your teeth into the desired position. However, unlike traditional braces, Damon Braces are very gentle, and therefore your discomfort should be minimal.

It’s true that braces may make consuming some foods slightly more difficult but don’t worry, you won’t need to make any significant changes to your diet. We only recommend that at the beginning of treatment, you stick to soft foods, and avoid anything hard or chewy while you get used to them.
