Dr Dino Birkenstock-Simon

Dentist

BDS

GDC Number: 84963

I grew up in Dinslaken, Germany.

In 1999 I graduated with distinction from the prestigious Rostock University, Germany’s first established dental school, with a PhD in dentistry.

I worked as a general dentist in private practice in Munich, Germany for five years before joining Crescent Lodge in 2005.

I like to create a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere for my patients while delivering the highest standard of care.
After over 20 years as a general dentist, I am still as passionate about my job as I have been in the beginning, and I am keeping up to date on new treatments and technologies.

I have a special interest in early functional orthopaedic treatment for children and fixed orthodontic treatment for teenagers and adults.

I have undertaken comprehensive training with world-renowned dentists and orthodontists from the UK, the USA and Australia in the areas of orthopaedics, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.
In 2014 I graduated from the Derek Mahony Orthodontic UK residency, a 3-year post-graduate programme for a selected group of general dentists, widely considered to be the most comprehensive orthodontic course of its kind.

I am a certified Invisalign provider for over 15 years and have been awarded Silver status in the past.
I provide fixed orthodontic treatments with Social Six lingual braces and with the Damon System, creating beautiful, natural smiles for patients of any age.

I am very passionate about creating great smiles, which is so much more than just ‘straight teeth’ – This ranges from early interceptive orthodontic and multi-disciplinary treatment for young patients, which can set them on a path of a healthy mouth for life and (re-)establishing adult patients’ teeth to help them gain confidence and achieving a broader and healthier smile.

In my free time, I enjoy travelling, keeping fit and having good food – sometimes a little bit too much!
