I have been the owner and Principal of CLDP since 2004. Before that I was an associate dentist for 6 years here, preceded by working in Beckenham.
I undertook my dental training at Guys and St Thomas’ Dental School, graduating in 1996. After starting out in general dentistry, as my clinical career progressed I focused more on tooth wear, clenching and grinding, jaw joint problems, acid erosion, cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics (initially for my own vanity and then I wanted to share those treatments with other people!).
My passion was for aesthetic dentistry, helping make people’s teeth look better, and so giving those patients an increase in self-confidence, which as a dentist is really rewarding to see.
Over my clinical career, I have come to realise that everything else in the mouth needs to be assessed and healthy before we did the cosmetic work that can create confidence in our smile and that other people often notice.
Hence I segued into the clenching and grinding and jaw joint issues, once these were rectified, we could then do the nice stuff that visually made a difference, with the comfort of knowing, the bite would be stable and there would be no jaw joint and clenching muscle pains!
CLDP is a big practice and I am determined we will provide the best patient experience. In 2020 I decided to stop doing clinical work and focus on making sure we are providing the sort of service I would want myself if I were a patient here.
I want to ensure that every single person who comes through the doors at CLDP gets the best service. I want you to feel confident that we can provide all the different treatment options, and most importantly that we will be kind, honest and straightforward.
My commitment to you is that we do all we can to make sure you know what is happening in your mouth, what your options are and how you can look after your oral hygiene. We can go at any pace you want to make the process more comfortable and manageable for you.
We have a large team of dentists, hygienists and support staff who I know who are all committed to providing you with the best experience, and we will do everything we can to match you with the practitioner who suits your needs best.
