Are you considering Invisalign braces in Clapham?
Is it the fact that 5 million people worldwide have successfully had their teeth straightened with the Invisalign system that has made you curious about this particular brand? Is the thing that attracts you about them, how discreet Invisalign braces from our Clapham dental practice are? Or is it that you can keep your teeth at a lower risk of tooth decay with Invisalign?
Invisalign offers many benefits over traditional braces. Psychologically, you’re likely to feel better about wearing them given how discreet they are and physically, they’re very comfortable to wear, particularly on the inside of the lips.
The difference between traditional braces and new invisible braces from our Clapham studio.
Compared to traditional braces, this pioneering brand is miles apart. For a start, for your teeth to be moved, nothing needs to be bonded to their surfaces. The old fashioned brackets and wires system relies on brackets being held in place for several months with a strong adhesive.
The brackets are not adjusted during the treatment period to further the journey of the affected teeth, but rather the wire that binds them is. This means that after months of having been unable to remove all remnants of trapped food; during the treatment period, you’re more likely to have teeth that require serious cleaning and be vulnerable to decay. There’s no such problem with Invisalign.
Invisalign braces are fitted like a gum shield over the upper and lower rows of teeth and are removable. Removing them is not optional. You will be required to remove them before eating and before brushing your teeth. As long as you’re wearing the braces for 20 hours every 24 hours, you’ll be ready to have each new aligner tray fitted at the estimated time, and your treatment should be complete on the expected date.
The benefit of them being removable is that during social occasions, your friends won’t notice you’re wearing braces, because you won’t be. At all other times, the aligner trays that you’ll be wearing are so discreet, there’s a good chance nobody will notice them anyway.
Invisalign braces from our Clapham surgery are comfortable and effective
Created from a mould made from your mouth, the aligner trays are thin, translucent and comfortable to wear. You’ll wear them at night and during the day. They also fix a large variety of orthodontic problems. If you have protruding teeth, teeth that overlap, gapped teeth, or bite problems, Invisalign could be a good choice for you.
