How Long Do Braces Take To Straighten Teeth?
Ask around, and many of us would tweak things about our smiles. Whether it’s a brighter smile or straighter teeth, or a generally healthier mouth, there’s so much we can achieve together, at Crescent Lodge Dental Practice, Clapham.
In this post, we’re looking at adult braces, and covering some of those all-too-common questions we get from our lovely patients. So, whether you’re in the market for adult braces, or simply doing some research, we hope you find this post useful and informative!
What types of adult braces are there?
Let’s first talk about what adult braces are on offer. Here in Clapham, we like to recommend Invisalign. Clear, removable, comfortable, discreet and suitable for teens – these are just a handful of benefits of the treatment. Invisalign makes a type of aligner, which means they’re essentially trays made for your smile and aren’t fixed in place. But, there are other adult braces on the market, like lingual (back of teeth), fixed, and ones that only straighten the front six teeth.
How long do adult braces take?
It varies, depending on the work involved for your unique smile. Someone who has minor crowding issues, for example, may need a shorter treatment than someone with bite problems, like an overbite. We advise you on this during your consultation, so you have a clear idea of how long it will all take. And, with Invisalign, we can show you how your treatment will pan out. That’s because, with the treatment, your teeth are straightened incrementally, by progressing through sets of custom-made aligners.
Millions of people – celebrities included – have enjoyed the benefits of Invisalign and come through the other end of highly successful treatment. Here in Clapham, we’ve treated countless patients and helped them rediscover a smile that’s often healthier and happier, and given them a renewed sense of confidence and self-esteem.
